Our Linux Ubuntu packages have been designed to suit all requirements. Packages can easily be upgraded at a pro-rata rate so as your website and email requirements change so can our plans.
Disk Space
All our hosting plans are run on the latest version of Ubuntu. This has a proven record for providing fast and reliable hosting solutions on both a shared and dedicated platform.
Monthly Data Transfer Quotas
Each time your site is accessed data is transferred across the Internet, our transfer limits are high, less than 1% of our customers exceed them. Our control panels provide daily updates to show the data transfer you are consuming, and should your predicted figure exceed the quota an email notification will be issued. You can either pay for the additional usage on a pro-rata basis, or upgrade to the next hosting plan.
Domain Name Registration Or Transfer
One domain name can be registered with your hosting plan. This is included at no additional charge. Alternatively if you have a domain registered elsewhere we can assist in transferring it, and taking care of future domain renewals included in the cost of the plan.
You can map as many domains as you like to your hosting plan. They will all display the same website and share the same mail settings. It isn't possible however for you to point domains to specific directories, effectively allowing you to run multiple websites from the one hosting plan. This would require you to purchase a new hosting plan from us.
POP3 Mailboxes
A POP3 mailbox is essentially a password protected area where mail is stored until you are ready to read it using a mail client such as Microsoft Outlook. You can create a mailbox for each person or department in your organization.
Auto-Responders
Auto-responders reply to incoming email instantly and automatically. You can set and change the text of the reply and the trigger address whenever you like. Auto-responders are ideal for customer service or informing people when you are away.
Multi-Recipient Addresses
A multi-recipient address enables a single email message to be delivered to multiple POP3 mailboxes or external email addresses within in your organization. MRAs are ideal for distributing staff bulletins and memos quickly and efficiently.
Unlimited Email Addresses
Configure as many email addresses at your domain name(s) as required. Mail to any address can be sent either to a POP3 mailbox on our server or forwarded to an existing email address elsewhere. Mail sent to an address for which you have not configured a specific destination can be sent to a default location.
Webmail
As well as the ability of reading your mail using your mail client, we also provide you with access to a feature packed webmail for access on the move.
Scripting
Access to all major LAMP technologies, including MySql database and the use of the PHP, Perl, Python and Ruby languages.
PHP5 Scripting
PHP is a powerful server side scripting language ideal for the creation of dynamic data driven web sites. The latest release, version 5 is installed on our servers.
Server Side Includes (SSI)
Server Side Includes enable the addition of dynamic elements to your HTML web pages. Automatically insert dates and file information as well as calling external programs such as hit counters.
SSL
We can provide you access to both shared and professional SSL solutions. Our shared SSL solutions utilize the generic SSL address of securedweb.co.uk and the professional certificates allow access to your own certificate and IP address.
FrontPage 2000 Extensions
FrontPage 2000 extensions are installed on our web servers. This allows you to take advantage of the dynamic features and publication wizard in Microsoft's web page authoring software. These are provided at no additional cost and can be installed through your control panel.
WAP Server
Serve information to people on the move via Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) enabled devices.

Your database will be managed using phpMyAdmin.

Raw Log Files
Raw logs can provide customers with a wealth of information about the visitors to their website. They can simply be downloaded via FTP daily. An additional charge of £15 per year is appicable to access raw logs.
Search Engine Submission
Submit your site to the worlds major search engines with one click, enabling your customers to find you on the Internet.
Daily Data Backup
Each one of our servers runs a RAID disk failure protection system. In addition, all data is backed up every night to off-site servers. Customers have the ability of backing up all data and databases locally with a single click using their control panel interface.
UK Data Centers
All our servers and support staff are based in the UK. We operate and place our servers outside of high risked capital locations, whilst connected to Tier 1 high speed networks, ensuring your web sites are always made available to service sensitive clients.
